We know that quarantine is a very trying time for many of us. With many people stuck indoors with limited things to do, we want to suggest some productive activities that you can do during this time.
Netflix is great, but you'll come out of quarantine a better person if you balance it with things that benefit you in the long term!
1. Learn A New Skill
Why not use this time to learn something new? With 100s of thousands of 'how-to' videos on YouTube and SkillShare, you can learn how to do just about anything online.
2. Complete That DIY Project
We all have at least one DIY project that we've been meaning to start (or finish). Now is a great time to re-paint that room, set up that office, or sort out your yard.
3. Get Into A Proper Fitness Routine
This time can be used to get into a new fitness routine. Use the extra time to make proper, healthy meals, and spend time exercising every day.
4. Contact A Friend
We all have people who we sadly lost contact with over the years. Whether you moved apart, or just lost contact after school, there's never a bad time to reach out and re-connect, even if it's just a catch up chat.
5. Do Something With Your Household Members
Do an activity in order to strengthen your relationship with those you live with. Play a board game, prep a meal together, etc. Whether you live with family or friends, there's something you can do as a team.
6. Update Your Resume/LinkedIN
We all know that updating our professional profiles is a bit tiresome. However, it does need to be done, so you may as well do it whilst you have the time. Besides, that updated CV might just land you your dream job offer!
7. Try Something New
Step out of your comfort zone and try something new. Cook something from a different culture, watch a genre of film you would usually avoid. You never know what you might discover.
8. Get a Qualification
You can take educational courses online from institutions such as OpenLearn or the Centre of Excellence. Courses can be completed in as little as 4 hours and you get a certificate at the end.
9. Write a Blog Piece
If you have a hobby and you like writing, then why not write a blog post about it? Whether you like cookery, or art, or fashion, there's people out there who would love to hear your thoughts on the subject.
10. Have a Clear Out
This is as good a time as any to de-clutter. Clear out old clothes, throw out any junk, and have a general Spring clean.
